PHILIPSBURG:--- On behalf of the National Alliance Board, it gives us great pleasure to inform you the candidates, district leaders and members, that the four NA candidates put forth, all successfully passed the screening and will be sworn in today, November 19, 2015 at 3 o’clock.
Taking up the positions from within the party are:
Prime Minister and Acting Minister of VROMI - Party Leader Mr. William Marlin
Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport – Deputy Leader Ms. Silveria Jacobs
Minister Plenipotentiary: Mrs. Henrietta Doran-York
Appointed Minister of Finance will be Mr. Richard Gibson Sr. who will also function in the capacity as Acting Minister of Justice.
Today, our Party Leader and Deputy Leader both will represent you in the capacity as Ministers. Upon vacating their positions in Parliament, the seats will be taken up by Mr. Rudolphe Samuel and Mr. Hyacinth Richardson respectively.
The ultimate goal is to work for the people of this great nation and be successful at it. Even though they may be faced with challenges along the way, with perseverance, commitment, and support from you the members, all will be possible.
As a board, we would like to express our gratitude to you for your unwavering support to the party and we promise as being part of the Red, White and Blue Coalition, we pledge to work together in the interest of St. Maarten by putting the needs of her people first.
