Chuchubi Foundation meets with the Prime Minister of Aruba.

chuchubifoundationmeetswithmikeeman23052014PHILIPSBURG:--- Members of the Executive Board of the Chuchubi Foundation, consisting of the Vice President Mrs. Sheila Kelly, the Secretary Mrs. Barbara Warren, the Treasurer Ms. Patricia Philips together with Board members, Mr. Clarence Richardson and Mr. Richard Woods met with the Prime Minister of Aruba, the Honorable Prime Minister of Aruba Mr. Mike Eman and Ms. Indra Duarte, Acting Director of the office of the European Union and Kingdom Relations, during their stay on Sint Maarten in connection with the Kingdom Youth Parliament.
The Foundation had an opportunity to discuss with the Prime Minister their goals, activities and future plans. The main goal of the Foundation is to continue to foster better relationship between Sint Maarten and Aruba. In this regard the Foundation expressed their desire to have direct airlift between Aruba and Sint Maarten. The charter that was co-organized by the Chuchubi Foundation to Aruba 60th Carnival is evident of the number of Arubans living on Sint Maarten who would like to make use of direct flights to Aruba.
The Prime Minister pledged to maintain the contact with the Chuchubi Foundation and expressed his willingness to assist the Foundation in their quest to maintain ties with Aruba. The Vice President thanked the Minister for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with the Foundation and for his warm reception and commitment to work with the Foundation in the future.
