PHILIPSBURG:--- Loic Bryan has launched a citizen petition calling for structural reforms to Sint Maarten’s legal and judicial system, arguing that residents should have access to the country’s laws and court procedures in English.

The petition is addressed to the Parliament of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Tweede Kamer), the Government of Sint Maarten and the Joint Court of Justice.

KPSM arrests 17-year-old after tourist robbed of chain in Philipsburg.

PHILIPSBURG:--- A 17-year-old male was arrested Monday afternoon after allegedly robbing a tourist of a chain on Cannegieter Street in Philipsburg.

According to the Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM), Central Dispatch received the robbery report at approximately 3:00 p.m. on September 21, 2026. Patrol officers, detectives, and members of the KPSM Bike Team were immediately dispatched to the area.
