Aruba/St. Maarten:--- Minister of Justice Richard Gibson Sr who is currently attending the JVO meeting with all Ministers of Justice within the Kingdom in Aruba told reporters on Wednesday that he is pleased with the discussions at the meeting and he is thankful that the Dutch Government still managed to make available Naf22M to St. Maarten for the improvement of the Justice chain on St. Maarten. Minister Gibson further stated that St. Maarten still have other challenges within the Justice Ministry, one being the lack of human resources. He reiterated that when St. Maarten achieved its separate status in 2010 the island had to start its Justice Chain from scratch. Despite the challenges Minister Gibson said St. Maarten is grateful for the funds made available by the Kingdom.
