PHILIPSBURG:--- The Court of First Instance on Wednesday handed down its verdict against Attorney at Law Brenda Brooks who was charged with trying to bribe an Immigration Officer. The Court found it proven that Brooks tried to bribe an immigration officer thus she was convicted to six months conditional sentence and fined Naf:10,000.00 anlong with a probation of two years. Attorneys representing Brooks immediately filed an appeal against the verdict handed down on Wednesday.
