PHILIPSBURG:---- On Sunday, November 18th at approximately 09.30 a.m. the 911 emergency-service was disrupted due to technical problems. The technicians immediately went to work to have this situation resolved. At approximately 04.00 p.m. on Sunday the problem had been solved and the emergency service to the community was restored. During the fall-out period, several calls were placed to the 911 emergency services however the callers received did not receive any answer. The management of KPSM is therefore sincerely apologizing to community for this unfortunate situation and for the inconvenience this may have caused.
In addition, KPSM is informing the community that in an unfortunate event the 911 emergency-service falls out they should direct all emergency phone-calls to the Police Head Quarters in Philipsburg using Tel: 54-22222. The operator will receive the call and forward it to the on-duty watch-commander who will dispatch the police patrols and paramedics to the scene of the emergency.
