PHILIPSBURG:--- Minister of VROMI Miklos Giterson has to appear before a judge on Tuesday as the Prosecutor’s Office is seeking the court’s permission to prosecute him for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Giterson was arrested on September 6th when he rear-ended a passenger bus while driving under the influence of alcohol during the early morning hours. The accident had taken place in the vicinity of St. John’s Estate. Shortly after his release from police detention, Giterson issued a statement saying he was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, however, on October 5th, 2018, showed that the Minister was indeed under the influence of alcohol while he is also a substance abuser.
