Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset Highlights Teachers.

rotaryteachers08102019PHILIPSBURG:--- In recognition of Rotary’s Basic Education, Literacy and New Generations month, observed during the month of September, the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset honored 9 secondary school educators that exemplified the Rotary ideal of “Service Above Self”. The respective school boards and school management teams were tasked with selecting one teacher, who would be the recipient of a breakfast box, gift certificates from various businesses, and a certificate of appreciation from the club.

“Educators play a pivotal role in early childhood development and they help to nurture and mold the future leaders of tomorrow, yet the teaching profession remains one of the most undervalued professions in today’s society. It was truly a great pleasure for us to be able to uplift and bring cheer to these individuals who have to continue to demonstrate the true meaning of “Service Above Self” and who continue to positively impact the lives of our children”, President Jaida Nisbett stated.

The educators honored were:

Teacher Joanna Trim, a teacher at Academy School, was chosen by the FAVE school board to receive the honor of the teacher appreciation as she displays the care and dedication to her students and her career.
