Ministry of EYS keeping an eye on students overseas.

PHILIPSBURG:--- Minister of Education Rodolphe Samuel confirmed on Wednesday that St. Maarten has about 400 students currently studying abroad. Asked by SMN News what exactly is the government of St. Maarten doing for the students who will be finishing their semester in the month of May and have to vacate their dorms. Samuel said that the Ministry has been keeping an eye on these students and are in contact with them. He said some of the students managed to find a place to stay either with family and friends since the island is on lockdown. Samuel said, for now, St. Maarten is not able to bring its students back home because Airports are closed. He said as soon as St. Maarten gets the opportunity the students will be brought back home.
