Latest cases indicate that the circulation of the virus in Saint-Martin now affects all diapers of the population, from babies to seniors, with still a majority of people between the ages of 30 and 50
The transmission of the virus is not exclusively done in public places, but very often also in the private sphere (family events) or in the professional sphere (in your workplace).
Everywhere, to stop the circulation of the virus, strict respect for the barrier gestures is required for all of us.
Fragile people, often carrying chronic diseases, must protect themselves thanks to barriers but also by refusing physical contact (embracing, hugs, etc).
Our seniors are most affected by the serious forms of the disease. Let's all be particularly vigilant when we visit them, whether at home or in the EHPADs.
To meet the growing demand for screening, the ARS reminds us that a prioritization must be made:
• Priority 1: Symptomatic people need to call their doctor because their case can get worse. They must not travel to the medical office until they have been invited by their doctor. These persons are given a prescription;
• Priority 2: persons identified as contact at risk of a positive case by their doctor, Medicare or RIPOST and who receive a text accordingly;
• Priority 3: People who have obviously had risk behaviors, despite calls for respect for barrier gestures, at meetings where health security measures have not been respected.
• Priority 4: other people wishing to be screened. These people can be detected without an emergency.
The ARS invites priority 1 or 2 people, with their medical prescription or text, to contact their lab to benefit from a priority for appointment.
The ARS is currently working on the lifting of the hospital drive to allow better access to the entire population and thus allow accessibility to priority 3 or 4.
