The Community of Saint-Martin has committed after the devastating passage of Hurricane IRMA, September 6, 2017, to open a major landfill site for electricity and fibrous networks.
While 90% of the burying of electricity networks is carried out in partnership with EDF, the challenge today is to launch the second phase of burying fibre optic networks for maximum coverage of the territory and very high-speed access to the internet for our citizens.
In order to carry out this major project and ensure the resilience of the telecommunications networks, the Community has chosen to create, during 2020, the company SAS Tintamarre, of which it is co-shareholder with the Caisse des Depots et Consignation (CDC) and Dauphin Telecom.
To enable the deployment of fibre as soon as possible, SAS Tintamarre is responsible for designing and operating a civil engineering infrastructure. Thus, as part of the design component, the first step was to identify local civil engineering companies through the sourcing method in order to know the means and technicality available in the territory.
SAS Tintamarre issued an invitation to these companies on October 7th to meet with them, to present the landfill project and the future work market. Of the 21 companies present at this information meeting,12 responded favorably to the call for competence, which consisted of identifying their know-how and their means of action upstream of the future public market.
This wide range of companies, as well as all the economic operators in the sector, are invited to respond to the tender for work, which has just been published by SAS Tintamarre on the platform www. marchés-sécurisés.fr
The contract for work on underground infrastructure for the installation of FTTX network supports was actually launched on December 13, 2020, and consists of three separate lots:
Lot 1: Underground infrastructure - FTTX network supports on the western part of the territory of the Community of St. Martin
Lot 2: Underground infrastructure - FTTX network supports on the northern part of the territory of the Community of St. Martin
Lot 3: Underground infrastructure - FTTX network supports on the eastern part of the territory of the Community of St. Martin
The Business Consultation File (DCE) is already downloadable from the secure site www. marchés-sécurisés.fr (select the "works" check mark and the "saint-martin" location).
The tender is open until January 2, 2021 at noon (12:00 local time).
