MARIGOT:--- The Prefecture of Saint Martin and St. Barthelemy has implemented the mandatory curfew as announced by the Minister of Health Olivier Veran on December 29th, 2020.
Measures are being taken throughout the country (FRACE) and its overseas territories to continue and strengthen the fight against the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Due to this many territories, metropolitans or Caribbean establishment are aware of the of a reinforced curfew.
The health situation in Saint Martin makes it possible to apply derogations. Consequently, the Prefet, in consultation with the Presidents of the Collectivities of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, authorizes, by way of derogation, during the night of December 31, 2020, to January 1, 2021, that establishments receiving from the public could remain open until 02 am.
In addition, in Saint-Martin only, and in order to guarantee a controlled circulation of people and therefore potentially of the virus, a curfew will be in effect January 1, 2021 from 02 am until 05 pm. Travel will be prohibited during this period or must be subject to a compelling and justified reason. The specific certificates are available at the following link:
