MARIGOT: --- An alleged triangle love affair between the victims that were shot dead in Grand Case during the wee hours on Monday possibly the root cause of the deadly shootout that claims the lives of three persons, two males, and one female.
Several persons that know the victims said the female victim once lived in French Quarter with one of the male victims since the two were having a relationship, they said the woman then moved out from French Quarter and moved back to Grand Case where she operated an illegal bar.
According to voice notes that are circulating via WhatsApp it is alleged that the woman then began a relationship with the 25-year-old victim that lives in Grand Case. The persons that are speaking out said the victim from French Quarter invested his money in the bar the woman was operating since the two were considered a couple but then she left him and began a relationship with someone else. Jealousy is believed to lead to a crime of passion.
The woman and the victim from French Quarter were also seen in French Quarter together a few days prior to the deadly shootout, however, it is not clear if the two had repaired their relationship. While it is speculated that the shootout was a murder-suicide since firearms were found on the scene next to the victims, none of the information received from persons within the community could be confirmed since the investigations are ongoing.
