'suck your own blows...'
Dear 'Honorables' of Country St. Maarten,
Now that your own 'chickens are coming home to roost', you seem to have discovered the St. Maarten people - wattating nuh.
Mind you, these are the very same people whose very existence, each and every one of you - without exception - betrayed by refusing to even recognize in the constitution - let alone refused to protect and to preserve.
Talking about shamelessness.....
Therefore, be advised to 'swallow your own spittle' .
We, the grassroots St. Martin movement will have none of it.
As the good old saying goes; 'What goes around, comes around' or, 'what goes up, must come down' - sooner or later - that's for sure.
Enjoy the feeling now you are accustomed dishing out with pleasure and with arrogance for decades to others, especially to native, indigenous St. Martin people.
Know now, what it is not have control over your own situation and destiny, because it is in the hands of others.
As the Dutch say ; 'U zit nu in het beklaagden-bankje' - you are now just another 'suspect sitting in the dock'.
And by the way, if you did nothing wrong, you will be exonerated at the end of the investigation anyhow.
Then, in that case, you will be really able to carry the title 'honorable' with a sense of pride and dignity, knowing you deserved it - not 'bought' it.
For now, that honorable title, is very 'tainted' to say the least.
Oops, by the way, the fact we have declined to participate in the NDP's so-called 'democratic dialogue', was always based on our total lack of trust in Government and in any institutions associated with Government.
In that regards it is interesting to say the least, that our distrust in Government could not have been stronger proven justified, than the present investigation of the Dutch Government, signed by Royal decree.
So, much for the credibility of the NDP.
In ending dear 'Honorables', please do not throw anymore 'tantrums' and do not make any more silly remarks about 'not cooperating' and about going politically 'independent' in the name of the people - certainly not in the name of the native, indigenous St. Martin people - it will not work.
Just like when you were doing all your dealing and wheeling and kept the people out - this time, keep us out as well and 'suck your blows'.
