Members of the First Chamber and of Parliament visit Police Headquarters.

membersoffirstchamberandparliamentvisitpolicedept11012013Philipsburg:--- On Friday January 11th members of the First Chamber in the Netherlands and the President of Parliament, Honorable Rudolph Samuel along with other members of Parliament Roy Marlin and Ruth Douglas paid a visit to the Police Headquarters in Philipsburg. The members of the First Chambers and members of Parliament were met by Police Chief Peter de Witte, Acting Chief of Police Carl John, and other members of the Police Management Team and advisers to the organization. During this visit Mr. de Witte gave a presentation regarding the police organization from where it started, where it is at this moment, and the direction it is heading. After the presentation, Mr. De Witte open the floor for everyone to ask questions.
The visitors were then invited to attend a demonstration at the front of the Police Station, which was done by the K-9 Unit, Bike-team, Motorcycle Brigade, and Arrest-Team. The visitors were quite impressed with the improvements and achievements by the Police Force.
