Mount William:--– On Thursday January 15, 2013, the Sint Maarten Justice Academy and the Windward Islands Emergency Medical Services (WIEMS) conducted a brief certification ceremony, to officially recognize 10 Customs Officers for their achievement, in successfully completing the first aid Course. First aid is one of the compulsory subjects in their training to become a professional law enforcement officer(commies), is set to be completed in the coming months.
The Officers were presented their certification cards by the Justice Academy Coordinator and master chef instructor Drs. Richard Straker on behalf of the Justice Minister the Honorable Roland Duncan and the WIEMS Course Coordinator Joanna Rijnboutt. Also present at the ceremony were Justice Academy staff.
