Philipsburg:--- The owner of Energizer N.V., Silvio Matser was arrested on Friday and later released, confirmed Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos on Friday evening. Sometime last year police raided the office of Energizer N.V. in connection with a tax investigation.
SMN News learnt that Matser was arrested when he arrived on St. Maarten on Friday. According to a well placed source, police wanted to question Matser but he did not show up for interrogation, instead he left the island. Mos said that Matser was arrested, questioned, and he was later released. Mos explained that the investigation had to do with a tax investigation.
