PHILIPSBURG:--- The St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) presented the official hard copy calendar of events for Carnival 2013 to Scotiabank, the corporate sponsor of the calendar for 15 plus years. The calendars are located in the bank and distribution of the calendars will now commence island wide.
President of the SCDF Mike Granger presented the first copies of the calendar to new Scotiabank Director Raymond Green along with a small representation of his team at the bank. Joining Granger was Janelle Hermance of the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau, who is also a board member of the SCDF.
Granger lauded Scotia as a dependable and committed corporate sponsor of the Carnival calendar. He said the SCDF takes comfort in knowing that Scotia will always be there as a partner of Carnival for a very important aspect of Carnival.
Additionally, Granger said Scotia for the past few years has stepped up its contribution to the SCDF by sponsoring the uniform polo shirts of the SCDF members. Both the calendar and uniform shirts are adorned with the Scotiabank logo.
Green expressed how proud the bank was to continue the tradition of partnering with Carnival with the calendars and looks forward to a continued relationship for years to come. He wished the SCDF a fun-filled and successful event.
