Disciples Toastmasters Club inducts three.

dtmcinductsshirmaroberts18022013BELVEDERE:--- Disciples Toastmasters Club (DTMC) has added three new members with the induction of a security officer and two university students.
Diana Cocks, a security officer at Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) was one of two new members inducted on Sunday, February 10 during the club's meeting at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church in Belvedere. The second member to receive her pin that day was Kimasha Williams, a graduate of the University of the Southern Caribbean Trinidad and Tobago.
The two brought to three, the number of new members to grace the club this year. The other inductee, Shirma Roberts, is a student of the University of St. Martin and a native of St. Kitts. Each of the three has been assigned a mentor to help them reach their goals.
Every new member begins his/her Toastmaster career with an ice breaker, which allows club members to get to know them better. Cocks, who presented her first speech project after her induction, wowed the audience with her easy delivery and her faith in God. She and the other new members were encouraged to keep on presenting their speech projects in order to attain their goal of being a Competent Communicator.
Disciples Toastmasters Club is one of six such organizations on the island that cater to enhancing communication skills. The club meets every second and fourth Sunday from 5:00 – 6:30pm. All are welcome.
