Shipwrecks shops has partnered with the Sint Maarten PRIDE Foundation, an environmental community based non profit group. Shipwreck stores that has been established since 1972 with 15 stores island wide has offered to the foundation, a one of a kind designed t-shirt in limited quantities, of which part of the sales proceeds will go to the foundation to help continue eco-projects such as tree planting, beach and community cleanups, as well as educational projects for the youth.
The t-shirts depicts one of the wild life species seen everywhere on the island, and are available in very limited quantities. The shirts are now available island wide in their 15 store locations.
"Our return visitors such as the time share folks who appreciate the work the foundation sometimes desire a souvenir product that is not mass marketed and available on all Caribbean islands. This t-shirt design is exclusive to Shipwreck and the PRIDE Foundation and will only be sold in Shipwreck stores Sint Maarten.
The idea is to create a limited edition t-shirt every year with a new exclusive design depicting a chosen wild life species, the t-shirts will be collectors items as very few are available for sale."
The Board of the St. Maarten PRIDE Foundation thanks the Shipwreck Shop Manager and especially the long time staff for their commitment to helping the islands environment.
