PHILIPSBURG:--- The Central Committee of Parliament will meet in an urgent session on March 12 in connection to legislative amendments related to the abdication of Queen Beatrix and the inauguration of Willem-Alexander as King.
The Prime Minister/Minister of General Affairs Hon. Sarah Wescot-Williams is expected to be present for the parliamentary session to explain about the required changes to several national ordinances related to the change in monarch.
The central committee will meet on Tuesday at 2:00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.
The parliamentary session will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 120, via Pearl Radio FM 98.1, the audio via the Internet www.pearlfmradio.com, and also via www.sxmparliament.org.
