GREAT BAY (DCOMM):--- Minister of Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports Hon. Silveria Jacobs was honored to assist the Chuchubi Foundation in handing out awards to their nominees Sir Wally Havertong and Shabba for their contribution to the people of Aruba and St. Maarten.
The minister also spoke to the gathering on the importance of the ties between St. Maarten and Aruba including her own heritage tracing her lineage from St. Maarten via Aruba and now back in St. Maarten.
The Chuchubi Foundation was encouraged to keep up its work.
