Philipsburg:--- Minister of Finance Roland Tuitt told reporters in response to a question posed by SMN News regarding the TAXAND investigation that he is busy working on an advice for the Council of Ministers. Tuitt said the TAXAND affair was discussed in the Council of Ministers and he was asked to provide an advice on how the government should move forward on the issue. The Finance Minister said the SOAB report on TAXAND has been completed and he now has the full report in his possession. Tuitt further explained that government is pursuing all the avenues that are to be pursued because in the TAXAND investigation a former Minister is involved and certain rules and regulation that are applied to individuals or civil servants do not apply to a Minister or former Minister. Tuitt said because of that government is checking to see how to take adequate procedures to ensure they follow the necessary steps that have to be followed. The Minister of Finance said he is hoping to have more concrete information for the media on the TAXAND issue by next week.
