Philipsburg:--- Chippie, mobile brand of UTS, has once again pledged its financial support to the St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) for the 2013 carnival season. As the largest contributor in recent years, the company has again increased its financial contribution to the carnival foundation, compared to previous years. This year the company is supporting the carnival foundation to the tune of $50.000. With its contribution the company intends on supporting the carnival foundation in its endeavors to make this years carnival festivities even bigger and better. The Grand Carnival parade will be dubbed the Chippie Grand Carnival parade and this parade will feature the traditional staple to carnival festivities: live Steel Pan performance. The return of steel pan during the parades was a goal of the carnival foundation for many years, so they are happy to be able to bring this back to the festivities, thanks to the support of Chippie. In addition to participation and support during the grand carnival parade,Chippie will also have it's Chippie booth in the festival village offering various promotions further commemorating its 10 year anniversary. "We believe its important to support our local carnival foundation in its endeavors to make every year of carnival a bigger success than the previous year.
