Philipsburg:--- The two suspects that are currently in pre-trial detention for the murder that took place in Middle Region last Saturday night appeared before the judge of instruction on Tuesday for an extension of their pre-trial detention. The two 17 year old suspects were transported separately to the Court of First Instance. The first suspect Shaniska Brooks who will be represented by Attorney at Law Shaira Bommel had her pre-trial detention extended by eight more days. The male suspect identified only as Eric also has to spend another eight days behind bars as the detectives try to piece together what took place Saturday night that led to the stabbing that claimed the life of play school teacher Kimberly Illidge.
Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos could not be reached Tuesday evening for a comment on the extension of the suspects' pre-trial detention.
