Philipsburg:--- St. Maarten's very own BaySide Clothing Company has released a new limited edition "SXM Island Love" Tees especially for fans of St. Maarten's premier tourist event - Carnival 2013.
The Tees are coming out in some playful new color & material combinations that certainly will not go unnoticed.
The Tees will be retailed from $19.99 for male and female customers who want to be well dressed for carnival while sending a strong message about the love of their country and the premier carnival event.
Company founders and Directors Lee and Rae Dominique say since they could not attend this year's carnival celebrations due to business commitments in the United Kingdom, they were however able to design and release this new limited line of Tees to make their own brand impression on the St. Maarten carnival.
"We could not resist the big buzz that's going around for carnival this year, it's going to be HUGE," says Rae.
He said both he and his brother Lee are very excited about the new line of Tees and the hard work that has gone into producing them in time for the opening of carnival.
Both have thanked the owner of Galaxy Fashions in Philipsburg for supplying the usual high quality Tees and Front Street printing company, Bling It for their excellent printing and attention to detail.
"The fact that we can get such good work produced locally is an amazing bonus for our company. It cuts down on shipping costs from the UK or from the US", said the brothers.
They say since announcing the launch of their clothing line last year they have officially registered their company We Are BaySide Ltd., in the UK and have taken on the services of an accountant and business adviser to help grow their new enterprise.
And since the company launch on St. Maarten last year, BaySide has attracted the attention of one well-known retail store in the UK who are exploring the possibility of adding to their own urban line of clothing to attract a younger customer base.
"Negotiations with the retailer are still at a very early stage but BaySide Clothing Co. is hopeful that this will be their first big entry into the competitive UK market.
"People are taking note of what we are doing online and are now looking to us for guidance and advice on how we can take the next step in our business venture," said Lee.
"As usual the challenge is doing what you can with limited resources, especially the resources needed to market your brand and maintain that online presence in a market as wide as the UK," continued Rae.
