Philipsburg:--- Last Tuesday, the Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle presented the Rotaract Club of Saint Martin Nord and the Rotaract Club of St. Maarten Sunrise each with a donation, to help their members with traveling expenses to the District 7020 Rotaract Conference in the Cayman Islands. The Presidents of both Rotaract clubs were on hand to receive the contribution, and spoke briefly about the numerous community projects and fellowship activities that their clubs were able to execute during the 2012-2013 Rotaract Year. Mid Isle President Jon Hart congratulated both Rotaract Clubs on a successful year, and urged both presidents to continue the good work of Rotaract. At the Rotaract Conference, there will be training seminars and discussions of new ideas, that will help the Rotaract Clubs to effectively carry out their humanitarian works in their respective communities. Rotaractors from various islands in the Caribbean will be attending the Conference, making use of the opportunity to meet new friends, while participating in excursions and parties after the seminars. The Mid Isle Club is happy to contribute to the Rotaractors, as they are widely considered to be the "Future of Rotary".
