~Condolences book open at The Daily Herald today~
The Guyanese community in St. Maarten will be holding a wake for the late Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Herald Courtney E. Gibson this Friday at Quality Snacks on the Walter Nisbeth Road (Pondfill) from 7:00pm.
A condolences book will also open at The Daily Herald on Bush Road as of 11:00am today, Wednesday. The condolences book will also be open on Thursday and Friday at The Daily Herald from 8:30am to 4:00pm. The book will be available at the wake for signing.
Gibson was President and founding member of the St. Maarten Guyanese Foundation; a member of the Anti Trafficking In Persons Windward Islands Foundation ATIP and a member of the Anglican Church on Back Street. He passed away among his family members in Tampa, Florida late Sunday evening after a period of illness.
His passing has deeply touched many persons who remembers him as a professional, kind-hearted person with high ethical standards and integrity. The Guyanese community in St. Maarten extends condolences to his wife Liz, his mother, children, grandchildren, his colleagues everyone who is affected by his loss.
The Guyanese community urges everyone who knew Courtney to sign his condolence book and to come out to his wake.
