Every year Employers are required to pay the cessantia or severance premiums to SZV. Cesssantia or severance is a social system put in place for former employees that entitle them to a one-time severance payment. If a former employee is not unemployed by choice then he or she is entitled to this payment.
To fund this it is absolutely necessary that employers pay their severance premium to the SZV. The cessantia or severance premium should be paid before Friday, June 28th, 2013 at SZV's Cashier. The Employer is required to pay Fls. 40 toward severance for each employee who was employed on December 1, 2012. The Employer must fill in and submit the cessantia declaration payment form indicating the number of employees for which the cessantia premium is being paid.
The declaration form Cessantia payments is available at the SZV Cashier in building 1 on level 1 B or online via www.uszv.org. The Cashier is open Monday- Thursday from 7:30 - 12:00 p.m. and again from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. Fridays until 3:00 p.m.
SZV intends to take strict measures against companies that have not or have only partially paid their Cessantia premium.
