Cay Hill:--- On Monday June 6th at approximately 1:25am, a Philipsburg Police Patrol was sent to the Sint Maarten Medical Center to investigate a case concerning a man that was brought in for medical attention after being involved in a shooting incident. At the hospital, the investigating officer spoke to the man with initials K.M.K. from Jamaica (32) and living on Pond Island. The victim stated that he was attacked in his neighbourhood by two men who tried to rob him and during the robbery he was shot by one of the men. He ran towards his home and was followed by the same two men where he was shot at again. The victim was wounded to his neck, nevertheless he was in a stable condition. The Forensic Department and Detective Department are busy investigating to determine exactly what happened, why and who the persons are that are responsible for this act. The detective later learnt that the victim was flown abroad for further medical attention.
