Philipsburg:--- A man was shot sometime on Sunday in the vicinity of Carnival Village. The victim who is from the island of Jamaica was flown off island for further medical treatment, confirmed Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos.
Mos said a suspect was arrested on Wednesday morning, while another suspect was arrested in the evening and a house search was conducted Wednesday night at the suspect's house located in Sucker Garden.
Two suspects in the shooting incident arrested.
On Wednesday June 12th, two suspects in the shooting incident which took place in the evening hours on Monday June 10th in Rock Salt road on Pond Island were arrested by police. Both arrests took place without incident. The initials of the suspects are M.A.J. (20) and E.R.J (18), both from Sint Maarten. This shooting left the victim K.M.K. from Jamaica seriously injured and had to be flown abroad for further medical treatment. Both suspects remain in custody while the Detective Department and Forensic Department conduct their investigation.
