Philipsburg (DCOMM):--- On Monday, June 18, the Economic Monitoring Committee (EMC) held its quarterly meeting to review the current developments in the economy of the first quarter of 2013 and the forecast for 2013.
The presentation covered the latest statistical information on vital economic numbers/indicators, i.e. Gross Domestic Product, Turn Over Tax, Tourism, Government Revenue, Social Development, Tourism marketing analysis, among other relevant factors/topics.
The EMC consists of private and public sectors: the SHTA, Chamber of Commerce, Marine Industry Association, Timeshare Association; and the Departments of Economic Affairs, Traffic & Telecommunication, the Labor Affairs, Statistics and Tourism.
