Philipsburg (DCOMM):--- The Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic & Telecommunication (TEATT) held a meeting with the three notary office regarding the implementation of the new digital filing of business licenses.
The notaries and their office personnel were given a presentation on the proposed online registration of business licenses. In the session, participants gave their responses about the new planned system.
The benefits of the online registration are multiple, from a faster and more efficient application to more transparency and accountability.
The Ministry has had meetings with other stakeholders: such as the Chamber of Commerce, the immigration dept (IND), the tax Department, etc. in order to show the presentation, have discussions so as to improve the registration/application process.
All the above-mentioned entities will have access to the system and it is the intention that they work with the system to speed up the process of processing and issuing business licenses.
