GREAT BAY (DCOMM):--- A representative from the Department of Interior and Kingdom Relations (BAK) of the Ministry of General Affairs and two from Civil Society Organizations (CSO), will be the guests on Tuesday, July 30 on PJD-2 Radio host Lloyd Richardson at 12:00pm.
The Government of Sint Maarten started a National Development Plan (NDP) project, "Building a Nation: Sint Maarten National Development Plan & Institutional Strengthening," in the latter part of 2012.
The process entails community engagement and a bottoms-up approach.
The NDP and CSO reps will inform radio listeners and the community about issues and the upcoming virtual/online course.
The course can accommodate up to 40 persons and will start August 13 and run until September 6. It will be in English, there are no costs/fees involved, and the deadline to register is August 6.
The NDP is a people's project that is putting institutions in place that not only enable everyone in St. Maarten to come together to build a national development strategy but to have an on-going dialogue and participation in its conception and implementation.
