GREAT BAY:--- Final adjustments are being made to the performing stage and the five judges are all but ready for Saturday's opening round of TelEm Group's search for St. Maarten's most talented youth performers.
Organizers said Thursday, registration for auditions are now closed. All that remains is for the 40 persons signed up for Saturday's showcase "Breakthrough" talent search, to turn up on time and be ready to put on the show of their lives.
"Check-in time for those who have registered to audition is between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm and we will be keeping strictly to those times," said TelEm Group coordinator, Ms. Angel Richardson.
She said five judges will be evaluating various performances including, vocals, drama/comedy, rap, instrumental and dance during the course of the day.
The judges will tally the points for each performer at the end of the auditions after which time they will announce the names of the 21 performers who will be going through to the finals of the talent search on September 28th.
The winners of the final will have a chance to win some super prizes, including a recording contract with the production and recording company Xtratight, who are collaborating with TelEm Group in the "Breakthrough" Talent Search event.
Miss Richardson is urging all participants to be on time, but most of all to have fun in expressing their talent.
During Saturday's event, drinks and snacks will be provided for participants who will also receive a token of appreciation from the company for taking part in the event.
