PHILIPSBURG:--- Member of Parliament Frans Richardson submitted a letter to the President of Parliament Gracita Arrindell on Wednesday where he pointed out that the Prime Minister of St. Maarten Sarah Wescot Williams has failed to comply with the motion passed in Parliament regarding the Government Administration Building which falls under the Prime Minister.
In the letter MP Frans Richardson called the Prime Minister's attention to the motion passed on April 13th, 2013.
In that motion MP Richardson asked the Prime Minister to submit within 60 days of the motion an updated schedule of investment per activity with timelines and to give an elaborate elucidation with respect to the completion and occupation by civil servants of the new government building. The Prime Minister had to also commence within six months block D of the building and the parking garage on Pond Island.
MP Richardson said the deadline for the requested information expired on June 12, 2013 and its now four months since the motion was passed and the Parliament of St. Maarten has not heard from her. He also reminded the Prime Minister that she is charged with the oversight of government operations.
