PHILIPSBURG:--- The first meeting of the National Security Service (NSS) Supervisory Committee took place recently. The members present introduced themselves to each other. Thereafter they were given a tour of the NSS offices where they received a brief presentation with regards to the tasks and responsibilities of the service. Members of the Supervisory Committee that were present were: Judge Selma Verheijen, President, Judge Albert Beukenhorst, Vice President, Maritza James-Christina, Secretary, President of Parliament Hon. Gracita Arrindell, member, and Mavis Brooks-Solomons, Vice Chair of the Council of Advice, member, who was absent.
