PHILIPSBURG:--- On Thursday 12th September, 2013, the SXM Achievers Club held an induction ceremony, in which 8 new members were inducted. The club have been doing extremely well as it relates to the growth of its membership base.
With the addition of the 8 new members the club has now accomplished DCP goal 7 and 8 and has reached its annual minimum new member quota. "This is an outstanding job considering that we are just at the end of the first quarter of the Toastmasters year 2013-2014", Said the club's vice president of public relations: Giovanni Mardenborough.
As part of the Distinguish Club Program (DCP) there are 10 preset goals that each club is guided by in other to qualify in the program. The Distinguished Club Program and Club Success Plan helps clubs promote quality, ensure productive meetings, provide structure and guidance and increase the enthusiasm of the club. Every year, high-performing clubs are well recognized by Toastmasters International.
The new Members are: Ashayna Nisbett, Catherine Magdeleine, Confesora Mendoza, Davina Gabriel, Davinia Brooks, Veronique Livingstone, Giovanni Mardenborough, Jonini Chatelier and Odele Anderson,
The SXM Achievers Club Meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library from 7:15 pm to 9:00pm. All is welcome to join.
