POND ISLAND:--- TelEm Group personnel surprised customers with a treat of a cupcake and a refreshing drink as a token of appreciation for paying their monthly telecommunication bill.
The gesture was the initiative of the company's Change Champions team, represented above by company personnel: Executive Assistant Lilliane de Dje-Robert, Financial Administrator, Monique Hodge and Project Coordinator Jed Carty.
Other members of the team NOC Level 2 Technician Ralph Boirard and Technical Controller Frank Carty, Customer Service Rep Monique Dopwell continued to meet and greet customers Monday afternoon and also the following day at other locations.
"We wanted to show customers who come in at the end of the month to make payments at our main office, that we are very grateful for their business by giving them a surprise treat," said Mr. Carty, noting that the a similar treat will be provided to customers at other TelEm Group branches the following day, Tuesday.
He said the opportunity was also taken to speak with customers as they waited in line to pay their bills to find out how TelEm Group can improve its service to them.
"Most of the customers appreciated the gesture and some made some very good recommendations that we will bring up to management," continued Mr. Carty.
The TelEm Group Change Champions team was established during the company's restructuring process this year to motivate and inspire staff to provide excellent service from TelEm Group and to TelEm Group customers.
