PHILIPSBURG:--- Disaster Coordinator of the Rotary Club St. Maarten Mid Isle Mr. Peter Mazereeuw and Past Assistant District Governor Mr. Louis Wever spearheaded a collection drive to collect much needed supplies for the victims of the recent fire in the shanty area in Cole Bay. After contacting the Red Cross, they were informed that it would be best at this time to provide clothing as soon as possible to the victims. Members of the club were contacted and quite some bags of clothes, shoes and schoolbags were donated to those who lost everything in the fire. Rotary St. Maarten Mid Isle will continue its collection drive among members.
