PHILIPSBURG:--- During a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of St. Maarten Mid Isle, Drs. Jessurum gave a presentation of the recently released World Alzheimer Report 2013 which centered around the role of the care givers in dementia care. The Rotary Club of St. Maarten Mid Isle was only the second group to receive this interesting presentation. The first presentation was given to the Minister of Health.
Members of the club, especially those who have dealt with family members and acquaintances suffering from this disease spoke of their appreciation of the presentation.
Rotary Club of St. Maarten Mid Isle would like to encourage everyone in the community to be aware of the symptoms of Alzheimer's and to contact their physicians for early detection.
