MARIGOT:--- Within the framework of the Blue Week, week dedicated to the elderly which will be held from 21 till 27 October 2013, the children of the club of Avenir Sportif Club of Saint-Martin will participate in events with the elderly of the retirement home Bethany Home, on Saturday, October 26th, 2013, at the Albéric Richard stadium from 9 am to noon.
To the program, activities in the course of which these two groups of opposite age will become allied to be the best: one 400 meters in wheelchair assisted by a young athlete of the club, a running race in which a young athlete will have to represent an elderly person. The elderly will also have to do their best, because they will be in confrontation on one 100 meters walking race, and diverse workshops of athletics will be dedicated to them.
Let us bet that just like last year, this inter-generational meeting will allow discussions between young and elderly, and that the atmosphere will be warm.
