Male Tourist Drowned at Maho Beach. (UPDATED)

MAHO:--- Police and Ambulance personnel rushed to the Maho Beach around 2pm on Sunday to rescue a male tourist at the beach. According to information reaching SMN News, a male tourist from Canada was pulled out of the water showing no signs of life. It is believed that the victim came off one of the cruise ships that were in port on Sunday. Police Spokesman Ricardo Henson confirmed that a male tourist died by drowning at Maho Beach. Henson said he did not have much information on the victim as that was not yet available to him. He further stated that according to information he received, the victim was a passenger on one of the cruise ships.

Man suffers heart attack at Mullet Bay Beach.

On Sunday October 27th, 2013 at approximately 1:00pm, police patrols were directed to Mullet Bay beach were a tourist that arrived on the island with the cruise vessel Norwegian Sun had became ill and was not showing any signs of life. On the scene paramedics tried to reanimate the victim without success. The male victim, a Canadian national, was pronounced dead by a medical doctor who stated that the victim had died from a heart attack. According to witnesses, the victim was coming out of the sea at which time he became ill. The body of the victim was transported to the morgue. The wife of the victim will make arrangements for body to be transported back home.
