Fire Gutted Four Homes in Philipsburg --- Approximately Eight Homeless.

PHILIPSBURG:--- A fire of unknown origin gutted four wooden structures located at Tamarind Alley in Philipsburg. Fire Officer Clemente Jones told SMN News that the fire started around 11 am on New Years Day. Jones said two fire trucks responded to the scene and it took them just under half an hour to bring the blaze under control.
The fireman said that up to four homes have been destroyed, two of which burnt flat while the two are severely damaged leaving at least eight persons homeless.
