Police Pays MP Patrick Illidge visit Late Friday Night.

POINTE BLANCHE:--- A police vehicle was seen around 11pm Friday night blocking the driveway of MP Patrick Illidge who lives in Pointe Blanche. The vehicle bearing the number plate L-44 was seen flashing its siren lights as it was parked in the driveway.
According to information provided to SMN News, MP Illidge returned to St. Maarten on Friday and was expected to travel to Curacao to attend the IPKO Parliamentary meetings which is scheduled to begin on Monday in Curacao. SMN News further learnt that MP Illidge is scheduled to travel from St. Maarten to Curacao on Saturday January 4th, 2013.
The Court of Appeals rendered its decision on December 30th, 2013 authorizing the Prosecutor's Office to prosecute MP Illidge for charges they submitted to the court on December 17th, 2013.
SMN News further learnt that Attorney General Taco Stein agreed to go after MP Illidge after he returns from Curacao on January 15th, 2014. When contacted late Friday night, Stein said he had no knowledge of why the police paid a visit to the MP's house and it was not on his account, he even referred SMN News reporter to the Court of First Instance for more details.
SMN News could not establish if the police visited the home of MP Illidge to execute the decision of the Appeals Court or it there were other reasons to do so.
