GREAT BAY:--- Minister of Public Health Social Development & Labor, Cornelius De Weever would like to have the statement in The Daily Herald of Thursday, January 9, 2014, with the headline "De Weever shrugs off elections 2014 rumors-Says 'I will not get involved in politics'" rectified, as he did not state the latter.
During the weekly Council of Ministers Press Briefing Minister De Weever was asked if he will be contesting the 2014 Parliamentary elections, and the minister clearly stated that he is a professional appointment, and is in government to do his job the right way. "I will not get involved in the politics of it," the Minister clearly stated.
