GREAT BAY (DCOMM):--- During a closed door session with the Second Chamber Committee of Kingdom Relations and 10 Kingdom ambassadors in the Caribbean and Latin American region, it was discussed how to work closer together not only in the economic field but also in the fields of medicine and education.
Sint Maarten needs to strengthen its economic ties within the region and find ways to take advantage of the economic growth in Latin American and Central American markets, where it is sometimes cheaper to import products from.
The matter of visas for visitors and investors was discussed as was brought forward by St. Maarten at the IPKO meeting in Curacao.
The following points will be on the agenda of next year's Conference that might possibly be held on Sint Maarten, economic possibilities, energy, and children's rights.
