PHILIPSBURG:--- The Minister of Labor Cornelius de Weever called on the unemployed persons on St. Maarten to take note of the recruitment drive that will take place on Friday January 31st, 2014 from 9am to 1pm behind the Department of Labor on Cannegieter Street. The Minister said officers from Sheriff Security will be on the location with their canine dogs. He called on persons that are interested in finding a job or those that are looking for a career change to attend the event.
Minister de Weever further explained that persons that are selected will go through a three-months training period. During that time those persons will receive social assistance and a government doctor card, after the training the successful applicants will get a one year contract to work at Sheriff Security.
