BAIE-MAHAULT:--- On Saturday, February 1st, 2014, Sareena Carti, of Avenir Sportif Club de Saint-Martin, beat the record of Guadeloupe for the 300m cadettes, in 38 " 55, during the championship of Intermediate of Guadeloupe which is kept at the stage of Baie-Mahault. The former record was held by Sylvanie Morandais since 1996. We remember that last week, during the 2nd tour of the Intermediaries, Sareena missed the record by a few tenths of a second. However, in spite of the rain, on Saturday, it was decided to battle it when she took the departure of the 300m in Baie-Mahault. Besides this performance on 300m, Sareena only went as far as reaching the highest step of the podium on 150 m cadettes in 18 " 36 , showing the second best performance on this distance of the competition, any merged category.
Good performances are still to come in Carifta Games which will be held in Martinique in April.
