MARIGOT:--- A well known French Quarter youth identified as Z.W. was arrested at his home on Monday after he attacked a man in Grand Case with a firearm around 1am Sunday morning. According to information provided to SMN News, the crime involved a stolen motorcycle.
Captain of the Gendarmerie Sylvian Joualt confirmed that Z.W. was arrested on Monday and taken before the Judge on Tuesday. Joualt said the suspect refused to answer the questions posed to him by the judge. Joualt further explained that this is a known behavior of the suspect but the Gendarmes had enough evidence for the suspect to be tried immediately. Joualt said Z.W. was tried in a case of « comparu immédiat » and the judge sentenced Z.W. to five years imprisonment. Z.W. was transferred to Basse Terre on Thursday where he will spend the next five years of his life.
